In Surprising Move, Paul Burke Endorses Mark Golding for PNP President

In a move which has surprised some comrades, former PNP General Secretary, Paul Burke, says he thinks Mark Golding is the better candidate for PNP President.

In a message to comrades yesterday, Mr. Burke said he’d explain at 8:00 last evening via a Zoom meeting why he thinks Mr. Golding is currently the better candidate for the PNP Presidency.

Mr. Burke is considered in some PNP circles as a fierce critic of Mr. Golding’s close friend and political ally, Peter Bunting.

Both Mr. Burke and Lisa Hanna had opposed Mr. Bunting’s bid last year for the PNP top job.

When he served as General Secretary a few years ago, Burke also clashed with Miss Hanna over her stewardship of the PNP organization in her South East St. Ann constituency.
